Llama: Llamas are awesome! (1)
I am going to be working on both Auger and Wood Clock, so there is something to look forward to. Auger: I'm not too happy with the current music skin, so it is being reworked. Music skin variations so far: bare, compact, normal, expanded.  Hopefully there is something workable no matter the setup. Settings are still getting reworked, new controls within most of the skins will allow you to launch the settings skin with settings just for that particular skin. Wood Clock: Going to work on a skin that shows the date. Not many other types of skins can be easily created using rainmeter bitmaps without a lot of effort, maybe a very simple mus

Well, turns out I didn't get around to the rss skin that I wanted to write because reworking the settings took too long.  So next up definitely gong to get an rss skin out.  Depending on how that goes other rss based skins may come soon after. rss skin finally? new music skin options, compact/expanded/vertical possible ?

This is as good a place to keep track of what is coming up for the next release as any: margin settings for top and left global load/save custom and default settings major restructuring of resources directory some meters updated to include additional bar/line graph recycle bin skin individual skin settings? rss feed skin? Next release will be sometime next week.

instead of write another comment on Auger skin, I'd like to write on your page, coz I feel I have more to say beyond Auger itself. I have been hard working on rainmeter lately. I need to have a feature to allow my url lanucher to be customized (input url). So I studied your Auger coz it provide a central setting panel, quite outstanding. I am more impressed is the inside. I like your coding style, very neat. A reflection of a well trained developer, even though I am not sure what you do for living.
I have a total differnt idea about rainmeter. I'd like my work to have graphic as core. Coding itself doesn't interest me any more. It's actually photoshop skill I am trying to develop and I did improved a lot to achieve my own work. So graphic+code=rainmeter.
So far I almost done my version 3. But for version2, I haven't released my latest update on it. Coz release itself is painful. I tried to make screen shoot, even making vido to demo so that people can understand what I am doing. Another thing bother me is, very rare I have feed back. I sing on a stage. I do have many audience but very few applause. Most of time I hear the echo of my own voice. I still have passion to write rainmeter, but more for just entertain myself.
I might be annoying. I talk too much nonsense. Hopfully I can see more work from you.
Thanks, I actually have had some formal training in computer science although I know for sure that the code could still use a *lot* of major work (comments, spacing, etc). Feedback is always appreciated, no matter where it comes from.

I am also at this point somewhat conflicted about Rainmeter. In my attempt to experiment with graphics in Rainmeter I found that the limitations to graphic manipulation is limited mostly to transformations.

Creating complex graphical skins would require a lot of individual graphical components, which would require a lot of work to piece together. The other solution is to use relatively few manipulations on cleverly designed images, but so far I have fewer ideas for that area. It may be natural that many clever uses of graphics will yield good skins, but designing for instance a complete customizable user interface with full functionality to replace/compliment the shell might be impossible at the moment.
I never doubt about it, you are a good programmer indeed.
Maybe you could spare some time to visit my gallery and give me some advise. Something bother me is, my very first version of dead space theme, was a big failure to me. I just getting started with rainmeter that time, work is not a well done. But it got more than 1,600 download. My latest v2 draw not even half of such attention. Version one's wallpaper I choose is no doubt the best, but I can't make myself satisfied due to my limit knowledge of graphic. Working with grahpic demand a lot patience and being smart. A new world to exploit for me.
Rainmeter coding is not always joy. I need to provide a interface to enter 10 x url. It has to be a repeat of same code due to no support of variable of variable. I am upset of such copy/paste work. It makes me miss my old java coding time.
